[Seat][Ibiza 6J] 1.4 TSI Tuning opties/mods/etc.

Omdat info altijd over een hoop topics is verspreid en het vaak lastig is om bij bepaalde mods een idee te krijgen, wil ik voor de 1.4 TSI dit allemaal proberen netjes in 1 topic te dumpen. Tesamen met plaatjes & filmpjes, zodat je een idee kan krijgen wat bepaalde upgrades met zich mee brengen.
De 1.4 TSI is nog een vrij nieuwe motor voor de tuning hobbybob dus het is lastig om een hoop te vinden. Vragen, opmerkingen of mocht je dingen tegenkomen, dump ze hier.

De motor in de Cupra en FR is hetzelfde, verschil word alleen gemaakt door software.


Chip tuning.

Spreekt voor zich denk ik zo. Volgende 2 uitdraaien zijn op 'standaard' auto's. Dus nog geen luchtinlaat of uitlaat mods.

Uitdraai van M3rta zijn auto.

Uitlaat systemen.
Op het moment zijn er nog geen complete uitlaat systemen voor de 1.4TSI ibi's beschikbaar. Zelf iets laten bakken is dus de enige optie;

Green cone filter upgrade voor het orginele luchtfilterhuis.

this conversion uses a 'Green' cotton cone filter - K6.75, and a custom adapter made by TENON engineering Ltd in Dorking. The factory ducting to the modified air box is also modified.

Forge Spacer.

Naast een funky geluidje (waar je van moet houden) zou dit een van de redenen kunnen zijn om hem te monteren.

forge spacer is a good idea as it stops the turbo recycling super hot air to control boost and instead just vents in short sharp bursts to atmosphere.
This cools the turbo significantly compared to allowing air to go into turbo, get compressed and then leak via the BOV back to the front intake of the turbo again.

You do not loose boost, it just helps your car regulate boost better. Instead of having to open the bypass valve for a second and keep it open to control boost, it can now just pop off some air which goes to atmosphere and boost drops nicely and very fast.
The car always has enough boost with the twincharging. I can hear mine bleeding off boost most of the time to some degree except under full throttle and then you only hear it on gearchanges slightly

By having the forge spacer you also reduce the thermal strain on the O-rings inside the valve and it is less likely to break as it is no longer heating up as much.

All parts are included - hoses, mountings etc. If you are just after improving the efficiency of the engine, or are seeking better cooling after a software upgrade (re-chip), this kit is the answer. Our Dyno-testing, on a standard vehicle achieved peak +10 bhp, with greater power and torque all the way from 1600rpm to the redline. Further gains would be expected on a re-chipped vehicle where the OEM intercooler falls from its design ability.
