I'm writing in English but anyone out there who knows the answer can reply in Dutch (or German) -- no problem. We just bought a used SEAT Mii electric. It came with a "laadkabel", of course, but now we want to stay at a B&B in Germany where they say we can plug in the car overnight, but we have to bring our own adapter. Their wall socket (stopcontact, Steckdose) looks like a "normal", two-point one (maybe a CEE?). They don't have a "wallbox". Don't we just need a simple adapter (not another whole "laadkabel" with an adapter built into it)? Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks, Diane

Unfortunately it will not work with a simple adapter, you will need a mobile charging station because charging only starts after proper communication with the car (that communication module is normally included in a wallbox / type 2 charging point and that’s why you can charge on those only with your type 2 cable). If it’s a normall wall outlet (Schuko) you will need something like this https://shop.volkswagen.nl/auto-acc...rijden/000054412-laadkabel-type-2-230v-mode-2

This kind of mobile chargers are also available with different connectors and even with replacable connectors to make them work on almost any outlet, but those are of course even more expensive.

The example in the link of ik222 is also known as a granny-connection (because the charging takes a lot of time this way)
